INTRODUCTION | Curved Origami Folds in Millinery
A detailed follow-on from ORIGAMI MILLINERY available on Hat Academy
Suitable for intermediate/advanced
Join Lina Stein in this live session to explore the sophisticated "Dark Art of Origami" and master the art of Curved Fold Origami within millinery.
Unlike the straight fold, the rounded fold requires nuanced, precise techniques to create its delicate, flowing shapes.
In this Half-day Workshop that takes place in Lina's studio, you will be guided step-by-step, from creating sample pieces using various foundation materials, designing and scoring to shaping curved mountain and valley folds.
Then move on to fabric work - learning preparation, scoring, edge finishing, shaping with hand pressure, steaming to set forms, and securely attaching your sculptural piece to headbands, combs, elastics, or wire for stunning, elegant millinery creations.
