Module recording available for 2 weeks

Transform simple fabrics and foundations into extraordinary headpieces with the mesmerising beauty of tessellating patterns. Each fold creates a new dimension, each pattern tells a story of precision and artistry.
Discover the fascinating world of 'tessellating* patterns' and the allure of repetitive synchronicity in this exclusive guide to origami-inspired hat making.

* Tesselletion Origami : Tiling a surface with repetitive patterns so that there are no gaps or overlaps and then, applied to origami, it allows you to transform a flat sheet of paper into a 3D mosaic.

This unique  2 session Origami Module  combines the ancient art of paper folding with modern millinery techniques and fabric fusing to create stunning geometric patterns that flow seamlessly across your hat surfaces.
In this demonstration Lina Stein guides you step-by-step, from designing, drawing and scoring to shaping your simple tessellated foundation into a complex maze of diagonal /straight mountain and valley folds. Then move on to fabric work, learning preparation, scoring, edge finishing, shaping with hand pressure, steaming to set forms, and securely attaching your sculptural piece to headbands, combs, elastics, or wire for stunning, elegant millinery creations.
